The Art of Healing

Mukha Abhyanga is a specialised Ayurvedic face, neck, and shoulder massage using warm dosha-specific herbal oils and precise marma-point techniques. Unlike conventional facial massage, it is prescriptive — the oil selected, the pressure applied, and the points stimulated are all determined by your dosha, skin condition, and underlying constitutional imbalances. The result is both visibly and palpably different from any cosmetic facial.

Mukha Abhyanga enhances skin health and overall facial well-being by improving microcirculation, which delivers oxygen and nutrients to the skin while eliminating metabolic waste, resulting in a natural, healthy radiance. Regular treatments help nourish the skin, soften the appearance of fine lines, and support collagen production for a youthful look. The therapy also promotes effective lymphatic drainage, reducing puffiness, under-eye darkness, and facial water retention. Additionally, by stimulating key facial marma points, Mukha Abhyanga helps relieve sinus congestion, headaches, and jaw tension, providing deep relaxation and lasting therapeutic benefits.

Therapeutic massage increases microcirculation across the skin surface, delivering oxygen and nutrients to the dermal layers and removing metabolic waste. The improvement in complexion is visible from the first session and cumulative with regular treatment.

Warm medicated oil applied with skilled upward strokes plumps the dermal layer, reduces the appearance of fine lines, and stimulates the fibroblast activity that produces collagen. This is not temporary filling — it is cellular nourishment.

The specific lymphatic drainage strokes redirect excess fluid from the under-eye area and lower face toward the cervical lymph nodes. Puffiness, dark circles, and facial water retention respond quickly and consistently to regular sessions.

The facial marma points worked in Mukha Abhyanga directly influence sinus congestion, frontal headaches, and jaw tension. Patients with chronic sinusitis or headaches frequently report relief that no pharmaceutical has provided as quickly or comfortably.

Yes, when the correct oil is prescribed. Kapha-type or oily acne-prone skin responds well to lighter, anti-inflammatory oils such as Nalpamaradi. Your physician will prescribe accordingly. We do not perform Mukha Abhyanga over active pustular acne.
